Engineering Theme Regional Workshops
The Engineering Theme at EPSRC is planning to hold three two day Regional Workshops to engage with a cross-section of the Engineering community and related research areas to share EPSRC’s strategy for the Delivery Plan 2016/17 - 2019/20 and discuss its implementation in the context of the Engineering Theme’s strategy. By participating in the workshops, attendees will have the opportunity to provide input and feedback on Engineering’s contributions to the EPSRC’s Delivery Plan for 2016/17 -2019/20, particularly on key areas including:
- Alignment to the Prosperity Outcomes
- Delivering against the three EPSRC strategies: Accelerating Impact, Balancing Capability, Building Leadership
- Solutions for Equality and Diversity challenges
The workshops are open to all academic researchers with an interest in understanding and communicating EPSRC’s Engineering theme strategy. Accommodation and subsistence costs while at the workshops will be covered by EPSRC. However, travel and subsistence expenses outside of the workshops will not be covered. If you wish to attend a workshop, please complete the short survey at the bottom of the page by 31 January 2017.
As space is limited, expressions of interest to attend will be reviewed by an internal EPSRC selection process. Places are limited and the number of participants from an individual organisation may be restricted in the event of multiple applications. EPSRC are committed to a policy of equal opportunities and selection will primarily be based on justification of attendance. The venues are still to be confirmed but will be in Birmingham, London & Scotland. Invitations, agenda and more information on the strategy will be sent out before the workshop.
