UK Quantum Technology Hub for Sensors and Metrology

The mission of the UK Quantum Technology Hub for Sensors and Metrology is to translate state-of-the-art lab technology into deployable practical devices. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, with academics and leading companies working together to translate research into marketable applications. We are an international centre of excellence bringing together world-leading physicists, engineers, industry and end-users. To support our mission we have a partnership fund of £5.2 million. A majority of this resource will be used to fund activities in two key areas: end-user driven demonstration activities and new academic collaborations.

The programme will be continuously open and will accept proposals led by any eligible UK academic institution. Industry and other partners may participate but are not eligible to receive funding directly. Proposals will be evaluated and selected to receive funding at quarterly panel review meetings following standard EPSRC review principles.

The first panel meeting will take place in early July. Applicants are invited to submit proposals before 03 July 2015 to be considered at this panel meeting. Proposals submitted after this date will be retained and considered at the next panel meeting.

Further details of these schemes and how to make an application may be found at the UK Quantum Technology Hub for Sensors and Metrology website.
