Funding equality and diversity

As a funder of research, EPSRC is committed to attracting the best potential researchers from a diverse population into research careers. To specifically promote diversity and equality in research, EPSRC:

  1. Co-sponsors:

Supports students, research staff funded on grants and fellows through maternity, paternity, adoption or parental leave and allows work on a full-time or part-time basis in accordance with the terms and conditions of their employment (see section on Grant Terms and Conditions for more details).
  3. Provides additional financial support to students with disabilities if they incur additional expenses during their training because of their disability (see section on Grant Terms and Conditions for more details).
  4. Partners with organisations that further and support equality and diversity for staff and students in higher education including Women into Science and Engineering (WISE).
