Who we are and what we do

EPSRC is a non-departmental public body funded by the UK government through Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS). We employ around 230 staff located in Swindon. Below is information about our organisation, locations, contacts, constitutional and legal governance.

What we spend and how we spend it

EPSRC's Annual Report and Accounts 2012-13 summarises our work, successes and highlights during this period. They feature our key activities in research, people, fellowships, corporate activities, financial efficiency and principal objectives.

Allowances and Expenses EPSRC travel and subsistence for council, boards, panels and staff are available in the notes to the accounts within the annual reports.
EPSRC travel policy and guidance is available in hard copy upon request to the information manager:
Similarly allowances and expenses paid to senior staff and board members can be individualised upon request to the information manager.
Pay and Grading Structures EPSRC publishes details of senior staff posts and senior staff pay, summary data of junior staff numbers and pay scales, an organogram of senior staff structure and financial information:
Procurement and tendering processes On 01 May 2008, all procurement procedures and contract tendering processes are now handled by the RCUK Shared Service Centre Ltd. This company was set up and is wholly owned by the seven Research Councils. The RCUK Shared Service Centre Ltd (Procurement) has taken over the role of the former Research Councils Procurement Office
