EPSRC Centres for Innovative Manufacturing 2012 Call
EPSRC has just issued a call for new EPSRC Centres for Innovative Manufacturing to complement its existing portfolio in specific areas. Before deciding the areas, EPSRC invited the community to submit a business case for what the areas should be.
EPSRC would like to thank both the academic and business community that responded. 67 submissions were received, many of which suggested similar areas or confirmed areas we in EPSRC had already identified. As a result, the call is restricted to specific manufacturing challenges within five broad areas.
- Future electronics;
- Healthcare technologies;
- Complex Multifunctional Products;
- Resource efficiency in Manufacturing;
- Innovative production Processes.
Full details of these challenges and details of how to apply are in the call document.
There will be a town meeting for anyone wishing to find out more about this call at the Radisson Blu in Birmingham on 06 March 2012 from 14:00-16:30. If you wish to attend, please register by submitting your name, organisation and email address to EPSRCevents@epsrc.ac.uk by 20 February 2012.
