EPSRC Strategic Plan 2010

We have published our Strategic Plan 2010, outlining the approach we will take to ensure that our funding for research, people and knowledge transfer meets the challenges of the future for the UK.

Our Strategic Plan is a high-level statement of EPSRC’s long-term vision and goals. It describes in broad terms how we will work with others to make sure we get the best outcomes for the UK from our investments in engineering and physical sciences research. These top-level strategies set the pattern for the policy decisions taken subsequently and for the development of detailed plans and the use of resources.

In developing the ideas and directions behind the Plan, EPSRC’s Council drew on advice from research directors, senior university staff, and business, as well as our own advisory structure encompassing representatives from academia, business and our discipline-based strategic advisory teams.
