Industrial CASE process for 2011

Process for awards allocated to companies and agents

February Proposed allocations notified to companies and agents.
March Following confirmation that companies / agents can utilise the number of studentships offered, allocation letters - including conditions and sign-up forms - are formally issued to companies and agents
March - August  Companies find academic partners and agree projects and contributions
5 September  Deadline for returning forms to EPSRC
September - October EPSRC validates sign-up data
October onwards  Funds are allocated (via Industrial CASE accounts) to the relevant Research Organisations. They then confirm or submit student data through the Je-S system.

Process for pool competition

EPSRC is reviewing the allocation process for Industrial CASE awards in order to target support both more strategically and efficiently. Therefore, for 2011 we will not be operating a pool competition, all awards will be allocated directly to a limited number of companies (based on the extent of the collaboration on EPSRC funded research grants) or through selected 'Agents'.

Student starting dates

Students can start their projects from 01 October 2011 if funded through 2011/12 Industrial CASE awards.
