• A Statement of Expectation for EPSRC-supported students

  Over the last year we have developed a "statement of expectations" for all EPSRC supported students. It sets out the expectations we have for the way in which our students should be supported in their doctoral training.

• Increased flexibility to support the very best students

  In our next Delivery plan period (2011 – 2015), EPSRC have stated that we will attract the very best international students to train with leading research teams in the UK to increase our global presence and influence.

• Student eligibility

  General rules for eligibility of students supported through EPSRC funding, including residency requirements and academic qualifications.

• Minimum payments

  The national minimum stipends for EPSRC-funded PhD students.

• Centres for doctoral training

  These centres represent a new approach to training PhD students. They aim to create new working/training cultures, build relationships between teams in industry and forge lasting links with industry.
