The Research Councils are working with Sustrans, the sustainable transport charity, to commission research around practical projects to promote walking and cycling by environmental intervention. 

This is a call for expressions of interest to attend a three day workshop to develop cross-disciplinary research consortia in the area of walking and cycling. 

The event will be held at The Menzies Leofric, Coventry CV1 1LZ on 6-8 November 2007.

The application form is included at the end of the call document. Please send the completed form by e-mail to walkingandcycling@epsrc.ac.uk, and attach a portrait photograph of yourself to the email.

The closing date for expressions of interest is 4pm on 25 October 2007.
