Our strategic advisory teams advise us on research and training strategy in different areas of our remit, paying attention to mutidisciplinary opportunities.

The role of our strategic advisory teams is to:
- Alert us to new and emerging research and training opportunities, including international opportunities
- Advise us on the balance between research and training activities
- Advise us on areas or issues that need further exploration or investigation
- Develop input on specific topics as requested by EPSRC's chief executive.
We hold regular meetings in different programme areas together with conferences to bring strategic advisory teams from all areas together. We appoint members for one year but aim to have some continuity in teams from one year to the next.
